Curse and WoWAce have merged. I can't find an announcement for it though. I suppose there are enough people who dislike either site that they kept it quiet.
It's not that I dislike Curse gaming - I dislike their poorly maintained site. WoWAce has always been great about keeping mods updated, and their updater was clear and concise.
I suppose this will improve Curse's quality by a considerable amount...

Yeah, wowace announced like back in July that they were closing their doors so to speak. Not going to be able to use the updater anymore, which sucks since I have about 100 million addons. :(
Yeah, it stopped working last night. Curse Client is a poor substitute.
I've always used Curse simply because they have better descriptions of the mods, but you're right in that it's clumsier and not as frequently updated. I hope maybe this will cause good things to happen on both ends. Maybe they won't have so many ads? It takes forever just to load a page...
