Dear Santa, All I want for the holidays is a new cloak

I've had Vengeance Wrap for a very long time. I when I say a very long time, I mean a very long time. As soon as my first Burning Crusade raiding guild had the pattern drop and a tailor friend learned it, I had that bitch made, gemmed, and enchanted. That was a nearly year ago.

My new guild has downed Kael, but the bastard never dropped the best cloak in the game: Thalassian Wildercloak. My only current option is Shadowmoon Destroyer's Drape off of Gorefiend, but I don't need hit. In fact, I'll be hit capped though the next three upgrades or so. Ironic, really. It's a general consensus that maintaining hit is the most difficult stat to keep up through BT/MH. For me, it's the one thing I can't get rid of... (For those of you playing at home: Once Naj'entus is kind enough to drop his polearm again, I can switch out my last Kara ring for the Scale of the Sands ring and pop out that hit gem in my pants for crit. From there's it's a belt upgrade with more hit, and then a loss of hit through t6 shoulders.)

So here's hoping the unlooted bosses in Sunwell have something more pleasing than the legendary rogue stat stick in their armories.

I sincerely hope that by "legendary rogue stat stick" you don't mean Thor'idal, because that thing is a absolutely huge upgrade for us. I'm talking 150-200 DPS for a BM Hunter. (Not sure about the math for us MM Hunters - I haven't done enough theorycrafting with it yet.)

LOL! By "legendary rogue stat stick" I do indeed mean Thor'idal. Not because it's not a wonderful bow (I would take it in a heart beat), but because it's not hunter exclusive. It may seem trivial, but I really do oppose the fact that rogues have the use of nearly all the legendaries in this game, and there certainly will be a time when we will see a rogue with both Warglaives and Thor'idal.

I am disappointed in it though. It's only staying power once level 80 comes is it's use in farming!

The reasoning, I think, behind letting Thor'idal not be Hunter exclusive is that once the one or two Hunters in a Sunwell-raiding guild have the weapon, it would rot. There is almost always more Rogues and Warriors (including tanks, who can take the Warglaives for an off-spec set) in a raid than Hunters, and thusly, once a guild has one or two Thor'idals, they would literally be a wasted loot drop, as AFAIK legendary items are not disenchantable.

It sucks, but most guilds who can kill Kil'jaedan will have the sense to give it to a Hunter first. :)

Indeed, it's to prevent it from rotting. But there's a bit of me that would rather see it rot once the two to three raiding hunters took it, rather than watching some rogues parade around with it :(.
